Hi! I'm Elizabeth Roberts.
I'm the lead Speech-Language Pathologist here at WordBird. My mission is simple: to make effective, evidence-based therapy fit seamlessly into your life.
I was born and raised on Prince Edward Island and have practiced in both hospital and private care settings in Ontario for the past 10 years. I hold a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto and I am a fully licensed and registered SLP in good standing with CASLPO and CASLPPEI.
My clinical philosophy is shaped by knowing that many parents and adults face the same struggle. They want to commit to therapy, but long travel, limited local services, and busy schedules get in the way—especially for those in rural settings. That's why WordBird was created: to offer a truly accessible, welcoming space where you can make real, lasting progress.
My clinical focus is primarily in voice disorders, stuttering (fluency), literacy skills, swallowing (dysphagia), acquired language disorders (including aphasia and apraxia), and paediatric speech and language delays. I approach every session with the belief that the best therapy is collaborative, practical, and highly engaging for all ages. I love tailoring every intervention to your real-world goals, whether that means helping a child communicate through motivating, play-based activities or tackling complex adult communication challenges.
Outside of work, I love spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, trying new restaurants and my morning coffee. I enjoy connecting with people across the region and I'm excited to hear your story. If you’re ready to start your journey toward clearer communication, let’s connect! Hi there! I’m Clara Terra.
I earned my Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and my Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Alberta. I’ve worked with children of all ages across both rural and urban Alberta in a variety of community-based and private health settings, providing both assessment and treatment.
I’m passionate about using a strength-based, family-centred approach that supports children’s communication development as they work toward their speech and language goals. I strive to make speech therapy a positive, engaging, and inclusive experience by setting meaningful goals, incorporating play, and tailoring each session to a child’s unique interests and abilities.
My professional interests include early intervention, phonological disorders, and childhood apraxia of speech.
Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, hiking, and travelling!
I’m also deeply committed to ongoing professional development. My formal training includes:
Speech Sound Disorders Workshop: Articulation & Phonology from Assessment to Intervention; Diagnosing and Treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech (Amy Graham)
Ultimate Play-Based Speech Therapy Course
Meaningful Speech Course on Gestalt Language Processors
Autism Strategies, Neurodiversity-Affirming Practices, and Making Sense of Sensory (Cari Ebert)
Assessment and Treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (Jennie Bjorem)
Hello! I’m Gabrielle Rouleau.
I’m a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the province of Ontario with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and a member of Speech Pathology & Audiology Canada (SAC). I’m also a registered SLP in the United States with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and I’m registered to practice in Prince Edward Island.
I was proudly born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I completed my Bachelor of Health Sciences with an Honours Specialization in Rehabilitation Science at Western University, followed by my Master of Science (Applied) in Communication Sciences and Disorders at McGill University. After completing my studies, I returned home to be closer to my family and to continue sharing my love of helping others through my work as a speech-language pathologist.
My clinical interests include working with Autistic individuals in the area of Gestalt Language Processing, as well as feeding and swallowing across the lifespan in both adult and paediatric populations.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family at camp, snowmobiling, and collecting vinyl records.
Hi there, I’m Liane Coulahan.
I head up operations at Wordbird and hold a Master of Communications (M.Comm).
Born and raised in southwestern Ontario, I bring a background in creative marketing, professional communications, and entrepreneurship to leading the business side of Wordbird. My role is to make sure every client feels supported and that their experience—from first outreach through ongoing care—is smooth, thoughtful, and stress-free. If you ever have questions, need help navigating next steps, or just want to check in, I’m always here to help!
Outside of work, I love spending weekends with my husband and daughter, playing volleyball, and—if I’m being honest—working :).
