Hi! I’m Liz — a proud Islander from Prince Edward Island. When you grow up in a small community, you see how hard it can be to access excellent care. Getting the right support often means long drives, long waitlists, or simply going without.
When I saw families back home waiting 18 months just to speak to a speech-language pathologist, it didn’t sit right with me. That’s critical time - especially for children, but also for adults trying to regain confidence in their communication.
I started Wordbird to change that — to make high-quality speech therapy accessible sooner, especially for rural and underserved communities where getting help has always been hardest.
We’re a small but mighty team, and we care deeply about the trust families place in us.
